Senior Finance Manager 

OBJECTIVES

The Financial Assistant is a supporting role in the areas of financial management. Working closely with the Finance Manager and non-academic team, the Financial Assistant must possess the skill to work effectively, time-sensitively and professionally at all times.  

Under the line management of the Finance Manager, the Financial Assistant will support the Finance Account to ensure the daily functioning of finances including assets management, bank and tax field work and voucher settlement. The professional image and conduct of this person is crucial in emulating the ethos of the setting. Autonomous, determined and professional behaviour will be key features of the post-holder’s practice and these will be consistently demonstrated at all times. The post holder must be able to communicate effectively with team members and external agents.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Responsible for weekly staff reimbursement documents review and related voucher

2. Responsible for weekly online Ebank payment and related voucher

3. Responsible for monthly salary payment

4. Cash advance and fapiao follow up

5. School credit card reconciliation

6. Supporting on capex and low value assets management including assets registration, label printing and labelling, physical counting, guidance and supervision for proper labelling, ERP data integration, investigate and analysis the difference between physical stock and bookkeeping records.

7. Take in charge of bank and tax field work for Hiba Academy Shanghai.

8. Post related journal vouchers and accounting ledgers.

9. Other relevant tasks and supports.


BASIC QUALIFICATION

61    Bachelor’s degree

61    Accountancy is preferred

61    Fluent written and spoken English


EXPERIENCE

61    Graduate or 1-2 years accounting experience, ideally in a context that includes international staff;  

61    Experience of Microsoft Dynamics ERP is advantageous

 EXPERTISE


61    Experience of multinational company/education setting is preferred

61    Fluency in English and Chinese 

61    Independent and responsible 

61    High integrity and honesty 

61    Accuracy and attention to details 

61    The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines 

61    Excellent communication skills with a diverse range of people and interpersonal skills 

61    Technology user skills sufficient to prepare reports in Excel and Word, and aptitude to operate appropriate databases 

61    Ability to work to tight timelines
