OBJECTIVES

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team at Huili School Nantong. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and sustainability of our school by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and implementing effective marketing strategies. They will maintain excellent working relationships with school leaders, working collaboratively with other members of school's administration to develop more corporate relationships which support admissions and help grow school's portfolio in line with the group's strategy. 

 

The Business Development Manager will be expected to contribute to the wider activities of Huili School Nantong and be an ambassador for the school in external communities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential growth areas
  • Analyse data to develop insights into the bilingual education market and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine the school's business development strategy
  • Prepare and oversee business plans for programmes and collaborating with the marketing team to ensure effective marketing strategies are implemented
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with educational institutions, community organisations, and relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with partners to create mutually beneficial programmes and initiatives
  • Work with the whole marketing team to develop marketing campaigns to enhance the school's visibility and reputation
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, including key performance indicators
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to strategies 
  • Provide support to the admissions team for events or activities when needed


BASIC QUALIFICATION

Education: Bachelor's degree or above. Majoring in business administration, marketing or a related field is preferred.

 

Language: Fluency in both Chinese and English

 

Working experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of working experience. Proven experience in business development, preferably in the education sector.

 

ESSENTIAL

  • Proven track record of success in a business development role, with demonstrated ability to identify, establish and maintain relationships with executives 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience of writing and presenting proposals
  • Team player, keen to work with internal/external team members to develop outstanding results for the school
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Good personal and time management skill with the ability to prioritise workload in a busy and sometimes pressured environment
  • have a flexible approach to work and the duties to be carried out
  • Proficiency in digital marketing and data analysis tools
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding targets

 

DESIRABLE

  • Experience of marketing, sales or development of management development programmes
  • Experience of business development within a bilingual or international school context
  • Active user of social media for professional marketing
