OBJECTIVE:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Overseas Business Development Manager to join Hiba Academy Nantong. The role takes charge of the school’s overseas market layout, international partner development and global student recruitment. You will lead market entry, build long-term cooperation with overseas education agents, international schools, chambers of commerce and educational institutions in target markets including South Korea, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong and Russia.

 

You will align all overseas BD activities with the school’s global development strategy, drive international student enrolment growth, enhance brand influence in overseas high-net-worth family communities, and act as the official school ambassador across international educational circles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Conduct in-depth overseas market research covering South Korea, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Russia and potential emerging markets; analyze education trends, boarding demands, target family profiles and competitor positioning
  •  Develop and implement the business development roadmap, formulate annual market entry plans, enrolment targets and brand promotion strategies
  • Collaborate with school senior leadership to refine overseas BD strategy, prepare business plans and ensure effective execution of recruitment layout
  • Identify, develop and maintain partnerships with overseas agents, schools, chambers & associations and family offices
  • Organize overseas business trips, education fairs, local admission seminars; establish stable connection channels in core target markets
  • Cooperate with the internal marketing team to localize overseas promotional materials, school brochures and presentation content suitable for Korean, Kazakh and Hong Kong markets
  • Support the admissions team on international student enquiries, application follow-up and conversion to achieve annual overseas recruitment KPIs
  • Prepare regular overseas BD progress reports, analyze channel performance and enrolment data, and optimize strategies with data-driven insights
  • Build and maintain high-level external relations, continuously expand overseas elite resource networks and shape sustainable referral
  • Serve as school ambassador in overseas educational communities, enhance Hiba Academy’s reputation as a premium bilingual boarding school
  • Provide cross-team support for student recruitment events and campus visiting arrangements when required

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATION

 

Education: Bachelor's degree or above. Majoring in business administration, marketing or a related field is preferred.

Language: Fluent in both written and spoken English &Chinese; Korean or Russian language proficiency is a strong bonus.

Working experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of working experience. Proven experience in business development, preferably in the education sector.

 

ESSENTIAL

        Proven track record in overseas BD, capable of independently developing, negotiating and maintaining high-level institutional and agent relationship

        Excellent oral and written communication skills, experienced in proposal writing, formal presentation and cross-cultural business negotiation

        Strong team player with excellent cross-departmental collaboration with school leadership, admissions and marketing teams

        Sharp market insight and data analysis capability to adjust market strategies according to industry changes and target group demands

        Outstanding personal planning and time management skills; able to prioritize workload under pressure and frequent overseas travel arrangements

        Flexible working attitude and able to undertake diverse BD tasks and temporary business arrangements

        Proficient in digital marketing tools, social media platforms and office software for overseas brand operation and data sorting

        Highly results-driven, target-oriented and self-disciplined with strong execution and strategic thinking

 

DESIRABLE

        Existing mature network in South Korea, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong or Russia education markets. 

        Solid understanding of boarding admission, IGCSE / A-Level curriculum and international university progression routes. 

        Experience organizing overseas education fairs, agent and elite parent salons. 

        Active user of global social media for professional branding and lead generation. 


        Familiar with the operation of overseas ethnic chambers, cultural associations and high-net-worth family service organizations.
