Description & Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Operations (60%)

  1. Proactively track, record and facilitate contract renewal, amendments, foreigner RP/WPs and other employee operation related work.
  2. Manage employment certificates and related proof documents.
  3. Manage employment leaves to ensure compliance.
  4. Oversee administration of employee benefits and allowances, and alongside Finance Team, ensure timely disbursement of benefits such as housing allowances, annual flight allowances, and relocation payments, with close alignment with CO C&B colleague.
  5. Manage all CO staff onboarding and exits. Continuous review and improve CO onboarding and offboarding processes.
  6. Implement group HR Policy and Procedures in daily operations and support group HR policy review where appropriate.
  7. Ensure data in all HR systems are fully and accurately updated. Ensure due diligence completed for all document filing.
  8. Maintain good relationships with local Government authorities and 3rd party agencies such as exit and entry administration bureau, tax bureau, recruitment agencies, rent agencies, medical insurance agencies, relocation agencies.
  9. Manage CO HR vendors and budget with HR & Admin Specialist.
  10. Answer questions from schools on HR system user guide where appropriate.

Recruitment (30%)

  1. Proactively manage the CO Recruitment, maintaining a focus on attraction for key and high calibre employees. Be responsible for the recruitment of CO non-leadership positions and support leadership positions hiring as required.
  2. Ensure compliance with Wellington College Education (China)’s Recruitment and Safeguarding Policies and practices.
  3. Develop effective recruitment channels and manage these at CO level, including placing internal and external job advertisements.
  4. Track and manage new hire information and recruitment metrics to support reporting and budgeting process as required.
  5. Other adhoc recruitment related jobs as required.

Projects/Adhoc Supports (10%)

  1. Support annual projects including but not limited to Employee Award, Employee Engagement Annual Survey, induction survey, HR service survey and HR Audit at the CO level as required.
  2. Alongside HR Operations Manager, help prepare CO HR strategic plan and calendar on annual basis.
  3. Other duties as the line manager may reasonably assign from time to time, communicated either orally or in written.


BASIC QUALIFICATION

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in relevant subject area

 

Language: Proficient in oral and written English

 

Working experience: 3+ years in Generalist HR role, with experience of HR operation and recruitment. Experience in international or multi-national companies and exposure to international HR best practice is essential. 

 

EXPERTISE

  • Familiarity with China labor laws and regulations
  • Experience in HR operation maintenance
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment and recruitment channel development
  • Participation in HR projects and policy implementation
