Description & Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities that meet the needs of all learners
• Support teachers in catering for students with varying ability levels within the classroom
• Work with individual students or small groups to provide targeted intervention to support their learning
• Assist with the preparation and adaptation of teaching materials
• Assist with the assessment and tracking of student progress
• Maintain Chinese teaching resources in the storage room and ordering resources when necessary
• Provide cover for lessons when needed
• Support field trips and school events
• Lead co-curricular activities that support student learning and personal development
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills
BASIC QUALIFICATION
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Major: Chinese language and literature
• Language: Native Chinese speaker and fluent in English, minimum CET-6
• Teaching qualification Certificate for Primary
EXPERIENCE
EXPERTISE
• Outstanding communication in English and Chinese.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Chinese curriculum.
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Strong ICT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office applications including Sharepoint and One Drive, iMovie, etc.)
PREFERRED APTITUDES
• International and/or bilingual school experience working cross-culturally is preferred.
• Ability to engage with & model the 5 core values of Wellington at all times (Courage, Integrity, Kindness, Respect & Responsibility)
